As I mentioned a while ago, I've been repotting some of my african violets. This one came from my sister-in-law, Jennifer. I noticed this morning that it's starting to grow! It's been sitting in the pot of dirt looking pathetic for about two months! I'm so excited to watch it grow! It will have beautiful white and purple flowers on it!

  1. Hi Jessica, I am a scientist at Steve Spangler Science and I just happened to come across your wonderful blog. Your lovely little afican violet sprouts caught my attention. Did you know that if you added hydrated water jelly crystals to your plants you can cut the amount of time you water them and conserve water? Here is a write up of this experiment if you are interested: http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/experiment/00000038 Happy gardening!!
