3/31/09

I walked downtown again tonight. I was haulin' cuz I was gonna be late getting back to Eric, so I just snapped some pics while I walked. I was pulling the wagon with one hand and aiming the camera with the other! I think that's talent! Considering that, this is a pretty decent pic!

3/30/09

Today we went to the mall and had lunch at Hotdog on a Stick. Daniel likes corndogs! This pic says it all!

3/29/09

Today was the start of dragon boat season for my husband. And for me that means walking the three-mile-loop on the waterfront while he's at practice. It was a wonderful sunny day and I had lots of photo opportunities. I had a hard time choosing, but this is one of my favorites! All those blossoming trees are beautiful!

3/28/09

I'm learning to knit socks. I'm very excited about this! People ask why make them when you can buy them for pretty cheap. I just want to say that I know how to make socks! This is how far I've gotten on the first one. They are tiny needles with tiny yarn... it's gonna take me a long time to get the pair done!

3/27/09

GAME NIGHT! We played poker, but we didn't have enough chips for nine people. I got out the bucket of play macaroni noodles I have and we used that as the "bank". It was great fun! If you ran out of noodles, you just asked for another scoop! That's my kind of poker!

3/26/09

More gardening today! It wasn't sunny, but it wasn't rainy either, so we went outside and enjoyed the warmish day. I got the camera out and took several pics of my pretty purple flowers!

3/25/09

One of the women that work in the same building as my parents has a cat in her studio. He's a friendly cat! She brought him in to see all the kids at the shop and he got lots of attention!

3/24/09

The second day of swim lessons wasn't quite as successful. Taylor swallowed some water and wouldn't get back in the pool. Ethan was the funniest though! He didn't know how to plug his nose to go under water, so he just covered his whole face. Which, of course, didn't work. LOL! Kids!

3/23/09

This week we started swim lessons. The boys were so cute standing there waiting to hear where they had to go. They have enjoyed the lessons so far... we'll see how long that lasts!

3/22/09

I've mentioned before that I work at the church, filing music and pulling new music for the worship teams. These are the wonderful men that I work with. Sometimes I gripe about them... mostly when they don't get their stuff to me on time, but I really do love them all! They are wonderful men to work with! This is the pic that will be hung on our office door.

3/21/09

My husband and I disagree about what my best picture for Saturday is. I took several of these, but wasn't really happy with any of them. He thinks it's a really good pic though. Whatever! I decided to post it anyhow!

3/20/09

Taylor is so cute! He was being very helpful when I was trying to get a cute pic of his crazy hair!

3/19/09

Last week I found several childhood friends online. I was thrilled to learn that one of them lived close enough to get together with. I went over to her house today and we had a wonderful time catching up! She's a songwritter, and she played me a couple of her songs. They are very good and I can't wait for a CD!

3/18/09

Wednesday was a glorious day! Spring is definately in the air. My pretty flowers are coming up in the front yard, but you couldn't see them through all the weeds. I got out there and took care of that situation. After I was done, I was so proud of how they all looked, that I did some close ups of the flowers. This is my favorite! Probably cuz it's pink!

3/17/09

We were a little early for my chiropractor appointment on Tuesday and the door was locked. So we waited on the front steps until they came and unlocked the door. The boys were feeling rowdy so I got the camera out. Daniel is just so cute! I wish I had that much energy!

3/16/09

Monday evening I actually beat Susan to the track. This is her catching up with me. Not as good as the other track pic, but I still like it.

3/15/09

Sunday was a really stormy day. There were lots of sun breaks in between the rain though. The sun shining through the clouds was so pretty. I paused a moment and thanked God for the silver linings he shows us through the storms of our lives!

3/14/09

Nothing really exciting happened on Saturday. As a result I didn't have much to shoot. Lately Daniel has been really hyper just before bedtime. He was jumping all over and doing summersaults through the living room! I caught him in the action! Not the best pic, but it's pretty much my only choice for this day.

3/13/09

My friend and I go walking three times a week. Much to my dismay two of the three times are early in the morning. On Friday the sun was shining and the track was beautiful. I paused briefly to snap a pic.

3/12/09

At our house, we eat pancakes for dinner at least once a week. This time we decided to splurge a little and get some blueberries for them. I generally don't like blue pancake mix, so I put the berries on the pancakes by hand. The purple hands are totally worth the yummy results!

3/11/09

The boys have been going stir crazy lately. Every break of the sun and they insist on giong outside to play. Wednesday was pretty windy, but they insisted on going to the church and riding bikes in the parking lot. It was sunny so I agreed. They were riding around me laughing and playing. Getting all that energy out is just wonderful! Daniel was particularly cute that day!

3/10/09

Almost every Tuesday I spend several hours at church preparing the music for the next Sunday's worship service. Every couple weeks I spend a couple extra hours filing past music. It must be put in a particular order within the folder, then filed alphabetically in the file cabinets. On this Tuesday, I had the pile of folders on my desk and I was gazing at them with distain. I decided to take a shot at the ominous stack of unorganized music. And I believe this wasn't all of it either.

3/9/09

Spring time in Oregon is always interesting. Today we had all kinds of different weather. It was sunny, rainy, it hailed, and it even SNOWED! In March! I wasn't able to get a really good pic of it, but I couldn't resist posting a pic of our crazy March snow!

3/8/09

Sunday was a pretty boring day. We like to take it easy on Sundays. After everyone went to bed I realized I hadn't taken many pics that day. I didn't find much, but this isn't too bad.

3/7/09

On the first Saturday of each month, Home Depot has a kids workshop where the kids can go and build something. It's a free activity that the kids enjoy learning how to use tools. They usually make something useful, and this month it was a race ramp. It came with little wooden cars and everything. They played with them all day!

3/6/09

Friday was a beautiful day! We decided to have a picnic with our friends. Unfortunately there wasn't a dry place in the grass to set our blankets, so we set up in the parking lot of the church. We ate our lunch then the kids rode their bikes in the parking lot. I thought it looked funny to have a picnic in the middleof a parking lot!

3/5/09

Thursday we went to the coffee shop and hung out with my mom for the afternoon. We were playing around with the camera and dispite restless kiddos, I got a couple decent pics.

3/4/09

Wednesday we rode the MAX into downtown Portland and caught the streetcar down to Powell's Books. The boys had never been there and they were shocked at how big it was. They especially liked that there were maps to the store! We sat in the kids section looking at books for a long time.

3/3/09

Tuesday was a rainy day. In one of the clear parts of the day we got outside and played. There was a beautiful rainbow in the sky. It was really hard to get a good pic of it, but I did my best. Of the many I took, this is the best pic.

3/2/09

We usually pick Eric up from work on Mondays and Wednesdays so he can go to his class. He usually drops us off at home and goes to school alone. On Monday, however we decided to load up the bikes and go to the college with him. While he was in class we rode around campus. We found a huge pile of bolders by one of the parking lots. I helped the kids get up onto them and we took several pics. This is one of the better ones.

3/1/09

The boys love their trains. They are always setting them up in the living room when I'm not looking. They like the living room cuz there's more floor space than in their bedrooms. Eric and I feel like we're always telling them to pick up their trains. On Sunday they snuck them out again, but this time I decided to get the camera out and see what I could shoot. I like this pic.
