Today was a really cold day. I'm not sure of the actual temp, but I'm pretty sure it never got above freezing. The boys insisted on going outside to play and while they were playing they dumped all the ice out of their dump truck! It broke apart on the patio and stayed there ALL DAY! I decided to see if I could get a good pic!

I think this is a funny picture! I was standing in the kitchen getting ready to eat some dinner and was distracted by the "beauty" of my peas! I love peas! They are so yummy!

On Saturday night I went to my friend's house for a girls pedicure night. They were lovely hostesses and we had a great time! The whole coffee table was FULL of various pedicure supplies, and I had some fun taking pictures of it!

Every Friday night at 8pm we host a game night at our house! It's great fun! I had a very busy day on Friday and at 11:30pm I realized I didn't have a single picture for the day! While we played our game, I took several pics of the things around me. This one is my favorite!

I totally love to knit. I've been knitting a lot lately and this is an up close pic of the special order hand towel and washcloth set I made. I like the pattern cuz it's easy and fast, but it's also really cute!

I worked late at the church on Tuesday and Eric brought the boys and my dinner to the office so he could go into the next room for his bible study. Ethan and I were playing with the camera, and this is what we came up with!

I have been trying to re-pot some of my small african violets, which means a lot of care. I have to remember to water them every day! They also need to be turned so they grow straight. I had just watered the little guys, and I was irritated that the sun was shining in my eyes from the water in the pots. It was so pretty though, so I grabbed my camera! One of the best ones I've taken I think!

I just love this bracelet! A good friend got it for me on her mission trip to Mexico. I had to take it off while I was doing my bible study on Sunday night because it was rubbing on my wrist. I thought I'd try and take a pic of it. Turned out ok!

It was 8pm and I realized I hadn't picked up my camera all day! ACK! This particular plant is in my living room window. It's called an Hawiian Lava Rock Plant... at least I think that's what it is... My Grandmother gave it to us for a house warming gift. I love this plant! It has these beautiful bright pink blooms on it. It's tropical and bright, and it grows right out of a ROCK! How cool is that!

I took the boys to get their hair cut on the 16th. There was a long wait until it was our turn, but they all sat in their seats very nicely! Daniel was so cute, he picked up the Motor Trend magazine and "read" it while we waited. Again, not the best quality pic, but SO cute!

My friend Stephanie knew I had a bad day on the 15th and she came over with a package of thin mints! My favorite! They're MINE and you can't have them!!!

I'd like to take the time to officially blame my lovely sister, Dianna, for my obsession with the show Lost! She loaned me the first season on DVD and I'm totally hooked! I thought I'd document my day with a pic of the DVDs!

This is a pic of my beautiful and very dusty jade plant! The sun was shining through the front window and all the plants looked so happy! I dusted that poor plant and it looks even better now!

We went to hang out at my parent's place for a while and the kids always like playing on the stairs because they can touch the ceiling. Taylor was being cute and even though it's not the best quality pic, I thought it was very cute!

This is the result of me discovering that it was already bedtime and I hadn't found anything to take a picture of all day! ACK! I took several different pictures before my battery died, and this was the best I came up with.

We decided to burn our Christmas tree as part of our entertainment at game night! It was really fun and very entertaining! We were disappointed that we forgot the marshmallows though.

Today I had to pick Eric up from work. He wasn't ready when I got there and I was bored. I realized that I had my camera in my pocket! I looked around at what was with in my camera's reach and this is what I found! These little gems are sitting on my dash constantly making me happy! The ladybug came from Saturday Market and the penguin was a gift from my sister who found it in Mexico!

I went to my parent's coffee shop, The Missing Drink, today. We enjoyed a nice time having lunch with my Mom. As I was leaving my gaze passed over all her syrup bottles lined up on the counter, and I thought I'd play with angles a bit. I liked this one!

January 6th came around and I figured it was time to take down the decorations. As I did this, Taylor curled up in the recliner and fell asleep. The boys don't nap anymore, but sometimes they get tuckered out late in the day. I thought he was so cute sleeping there!

Monday the fifth was a fun day. We walked up to the Fred Meyer by our house, mostly cuz I "needed" coffee. After that, we walked down the bike path a bit so we could run off some pent up energy. Then we came home and had some fun with the new art supplies the boys got for Christmas. I was playing with the settings on my camera and discovered I could take black and white pics! I thought it was kind of fun to take a b&w pic of a really colorful box of crayons!

On the fourth I was bored, and realized late in the day that I hadn't gotten my camera out once! I scouted out a picture opportunity and this is what I found! My favorite garlic bread in the world! It's from Costco and when you heat it up in the oven and smear an obscene amount of butter on it, I believe it's sinful!

My life consists mostly of keeping up with the masses of laundry that my family generates. I often refer to it as my "mountain" of laundry! (lovingly of course!) On this day I was sitting in the recliner looking at the ominous mountain that rested so peacefully on my couch. I decided it would make a good pic of the day!

It rained all day New Years Day! The power went out several times. Dispite all the rain, we weren't worried about flooding because we live on a hill. Well, we woke up in the morning to find our back yard flooded! There was a stream of water flowing into our yard from the nieghbors above us. There was several inches of water, but thankfully it was not up against the house! It was gone with in a couple days! Phew!

Project 365 is a way to document your year with photography. You take a picture a day for a year! Sounds fun huh? Now I'm NOT a professional by any means, but I do enjoy taking pictures. So far I've kept up with taking a picture a day! We'll see how I do for the rest of the year though!

This is the first pic of the year! The boys like to line their boots up by the back door when they come in from playing in the puddles. I just thought it was cute.
