The end of month two! YEA!! I found a box of eight puzzles at Costco for only $13. The boys and I love doing puzzles so I got it. We did two of the 100 piece puzzles, and now we're working on a coral reef puzzle that is 500 pieces. It's pretty hard, and when we got frustrated with it, I got the camera out.

I decided to play with black and white settings on Friday. My stupid daffodils decided to bloom in freezing cold February! They are very pretty, and a welcome site, but I don't understand them. I totally love this pic though. I got lots of really nice black and white pics this day!

2/26/09

We were really early for my chiropractor appointment on Thursday so we sat in the van for a while. Ethan started making faces at me in the rear view mirror and I took advantage of it!

2/25/09

It rained off and on all day Wednesday too. I waited all day to get the perfect mud puddle pic. It still didn't turn out how I had hoped, but it's not too bad. I like that you can see some of the rain drops in it.

My sister and her family moved back to Portland this week. I guess my nieces were bored while they were unpacking. They asked if they could come over and play with the boys. After dinner they all wanted to color. I thought it was cute that Ethan and Trinity were sitting on the same chair coloring in the same book!

It rained most of Monday, but in the small window of sunshine we got, I ran outside to see what I could capture. I really like this pic!

2/22/09

On Sunday I was working on a little baby hat for a friend. I knit a lot and these hats are so cute. They are a wonderful baby shower gift, and I love giving them to new babies!

2/21/09

We were sitting in our hotel room one night, watching Good Eats. Alton Brown was in a spice shop in downtown Seattle, WA. We decided to visit the shop on our way home. It's this little tiny place called World Spice Merchants. I wish I could accurately describe how wonderful it smelled in there. This was the neatest spice I found in the shop. It's beet powder. He said it's used mostly for the color, in things like frostings, soups and cheesecakes. I had never heard of such a thing, and thought it was blog worthy! It was really fun to visit a place one of my favorite Food Network stars had been!

2/20/09

My oldest niece, Alison, is a real fun kid. She was making faces at me in the Greek restaurant we were eating at. I told her to hold the face so I could get my camera. What a little clown!

2/19/09

This is just precious. My niece, Trinity, absolutely LOVES her new baby brother! She follows him around the room. She has to sit right next to who ever is holding him. She is constantly asking if she can hold him, and I think it's so cute!

2/18/09

My new baby newphew was born today! He's just adorable in my totally unbaised opinion. His name is Owen Charles Miller, he's 7lbs 8oz and 20 1/2 inches long. He was born after a fairly easy labor at 12noon. Baby feet are my favorite part!

2/17/09

Daniel was complaining that he was hungry, so I went to fix dinner. That apperantly wasn't good enough for him because he kept whining about how hungry he was. I was slicing cheese for sandwiches, and he was begging for cheese. When I told him no that he had to wait for dinner, he started crying. He was so pathetic! He's obviously going to waste away to nothing!

2/16/09

These are our little kindergarten/preschool science project. I taught the boys what plants need to grow... water, dirt and sunshine. Since they're so little there's no need to explain photosynthesis yet! I've been really surprised how fast they've grown. There's peas, zuchinni, carrots, beans and cucumbers. Now I'm frantic to find somewhere new to put them all!

Okay, so I really like my roses! Here's another pic of them. The sun was shining through the vase and it was just so pretty. I had to take a pic of it!

2/14/09

Today is Valentine's Day! We don't usually do anything real fancy. It's a nightmare to get a sitter on this day and we don't want to fight the crowds of people to go out to a nice dinner. So we stay home and have dinner together. Eric did bring home roses for me though, and they are beautiful! I had lots of fun playing with the camera. The pics didn't turn out as good as I'd hoped, but this one's ok.

2/13/09

I had to drop something off for Susan on Friday, and when I called she told me to bring my camera when I came. She said there was something she had that I'd want to take a picture of. I obeyed, and this is what it was. Aren't they so cute?

2/12/09

Taylor hid from me for a long time cuz he didn't want his picture taken, but I finally got him while he was drinking his milk. He's just so cute!

All week we've been taking this little paper cut out of a man (named Flat Stanley) with us everywhere we go. We've been taking pics of him in different places all over the city. Today we went downtown. We had so much fun taking pics of Portland's landmarks. This was my favorite one! I just love the Portlandia statue!

2/10/09

As I mentioned a while ago, I've been repotting some of my african violets. This one came from my sister-in-law, Jennifer. I noticed this morning that it's starting to grow! It's been sitting in the pot of dirt looking pathetic for about two months! I'm so excited to watch it grow! It will have beautiful white and purple flowers on it!

2/8/09

Sunday was a nice quiet day. We layed around watching tv almost all day. We took naps and just hung out together. Daniel carries this stuffed dog "Bean Dog" around with him EVERYWHERE! They named him "Bean Dog" after my parent's boston terrier. I just love Daniel's blue eyes in this pic! He's so cute!

2/7/09

Saturday Eric took the boys to the Auto Show. I had some nice quiet time with Susan. We cleaned her windows and did a little yard work. Eric insisted on taking the camera away from me. I was a little irritated because he's not very good at operating it, but I let him take it anyhow. This is the best pic taken from that day... I decided to use it even though I didn't take it because it's cute!

2/6/09

Friday was game night! It was a smaller group so we broke out the Clue! I was Col. Mustard, and had some fun posing him. I lost the game, but only because it took us so long to play that I lost track of what was what!

2/5/09

Thursday I was bored. I was just vegging on the couch while chaos ensued around me. I picked up my camera and started to play! I thought this was a fun pic!

2/4/09

As usual, on Wednesday we went to the coffee shop. After eating their lunch, Daniel and Taylor were climbing up onto a row of chairs at the back of the shop and walking across them. I was just playing with the camera and sort of liked this pic.

2/3/09

We went and fed the ducks on Tuesday. There's this neat little duck pond in our neighborhood that always has ducks in it. The kids loved it. We had about 60 ducks all around us wanting our bread! When our bread was gone, we just sat on the bench and watched the ducks for quite a while. This pic is of Ethan ripping the bread apart for the ducks.

I'd like to introduce you to Melissa and Daphne! This little baby is a living breathing miricle from God! Melissa and her husband, David were told, when she was 20 weeks pregnant, that there were many things wrong with their baby. There were so many problems that they only gave her a 50% chance of living. They told David and Melissa not to prepare to take a baby home from the hospital. On December 24th, 2008 Daphne Faith was born and only spent two weeks in the NICU and only for minor problems! The doctors called her a miricle! She does have a few medical problems, but nothing serious! Tonight we had a baby shower for her! I don't think I've ever seen so many gifts! She's such a blessing to us all! She's living proof that there is a God and HE IS GOOD!

2/1/09

Our dear friends Sheldon and Susan have a superbowl party every year and it's always a hit. We got there late, and decided to stay after the game was over to help clean up. This picture was taken of the aftermath! I like it!

1/31/09

I MADE IT TO THE END OF JANUARY!!!!! I'm so proud of me!
This is a pic of the inside of our new thermostat. Eric tried to replace it but blew a transformer in the furnace. We got it fixed the next day, but our house was COLD for about 24 hours! Praise the Lord for heat!!!

1/30/09

I was doing something in the kitchen that required me to take all my jewelry off. I walked by it later and decided to take a pic of it!

1/29/09

The lone burnt log from our fire the previous night. The sun hit it in the afternoon and it was so pretty!

1/28/09

This is the story of my life! Cheerios! HA! And in the van none the less!

1/27/09

On Tuesday it snowed, but only long enough to cancel our bible study. I decided to go to my parent's coffee shop. Mama made me a mexican mocha! Mmmmm!
