For Eric's birthday I bought him a new cycling jacket. It's waterproof and extremely visible! Now he'll be warm, dry and seen! This is the first time he's been able to wear it.

Saturday was my husband, Eric's birthday. We hiked Multnomah Falls with our sons then had a lovely dinner alone together on the Willamette River at the Newport Seafood Grill. I took this while on the hike. It's the first hint that fall is here! Fall is my favorite time of year!

I think I've mentioned before that I'm part of a group called The Ebenezers. An Ebenezer is a marker that reminds us that "thus far the lord has helped us" (1 Samuel 7:12). We meet once a month and challenge one another to memorize scripture. We meet at the food court at the mall. After we have dinner together, we recite the passage/verse we've worked on for the month. These are some of my fellow Ebenezers.

On Thursday I watched my nephew, Owen. He's just so cute I couldn't help but take a whole bunch of pics of him!

This is "Bean Dog". He has been a part of our family for seven years. I got him as a baby shower gift before my oldest son was born. Originally he was black and white, but he's obviously been very loved. Bean is named after my parent's Boston Terrier, Bean. (Cuz he's a Boston Bean dog! Har, har!) He's very beloved among my children. He goes everywhere with us. We've lost him several times, but he's always turned up.

Eventually it will be inappropriate to take pics of my kids in the bath. Until then I'll snap away! Love this one!

It's been a long time since I've taken black and white pics. I was playing around with the b&w setting and this was the best pic I took. I actually really like it!
