4/30/09

I can't believe I've made it this far! Four months straight of taking pics every day! Today we went to the shop to see my Mom. She loves having the boys "help" her make things. She was making them a strawberrry smoothy. They are so proud to "help" their Nana!

4/29/09

Frank and Alice were sleeping in our tall grass. All you could see was their little heads! I thought they were so cute. I promise I'll try to stop taking so many pics of my ducks! I don't want to bore you all!

4/28/09

Unfortunately for Susan, this is the only pic I took all day! I've been learning to knit socks, and I got stuck in a spot where I didn't know what to do next. So a bunch of us met at a friends house on Tuesday night. We were all working on new things. Susan is learning a new way to knit so she doesn't twist her stitches!

4/27/09

Monday I didn't take my camera out until 11pm! I was frantic to snap something before midnight. It's not a very good pic, but it'll do. My beets that I planted from seed in my little green house are really growing. I can't wait to put them outside in the garden!

4/26/09

There are all kinds of flowers blooming in my backyard. I don't generally like rhodies, but they are pretty when they're blooming. I really like the white ones.

4/25/09

My niece, Trinity, just started softball. She had a game on Saturday and it was SO cute! Watching all the little girls and boys try to play was so funny! I liked this pic cuz you can see the ball coming at her. She didn't use the tee at all during the game!

4/24/09

We celebrated Sarah's birthday on Friday at game night. I made two cakes, one chocolate and one yellow. The yellow cake didn't turn out so well. It was nice to look at though!

4/23/09

Thursday I went to a new bible study at Susan's house. The sunlight was coming through her window and hitting my glass of water just right. I took several shots at all different angles, and this is the best I got. I just love this pic!

4/22/09

Frank and Alice have been here every day all month. I feed them several times a day. Alice usually lets me know when she's hungry. She'll waddle right up to the door and wait for me to see her. She's even taken to pecking on the door if I'm not paying attention! Such a funny duck!

4/21/09

Tuesday we went to the park with some friends. After getting everyone settled with lunch, I wandered around looking for things to shoot. While I was snapping pics of these flowers a bee landed on the one I was shooting!

4/20/09

Monday was a beautiful day. The boys and I spent most of it outside. They were laying on the blankets in the yard and decided it was too hot. I gave them the umbrellas and they had SO much fun with them!

4/19/09

On Sunday we were getting ready to walk back to the van and I spotted this one cloud hovering over the city. It was neat looking so I snapped a quick pic before moving on. It turned out to be the best pic of the day.

4/18/09

Every morning the first thing we do is feed the ducks. Daniel just sat down on the floor and watched them eat. It was pretty cute!

4/17/09

Friday after our Ebenezer meeting, I went to Barnes and Noble to finish my Galatians study for the next morning's bible study. I hadn't taken any pics all day cuz I was lazy and grumpy so I tried a couple while I sat there.

4/16/09

People think I'm a little nuts because I love these ducks so much. Let me tell you though, they totally make my day! They wait for me to wake up so I can feed them. They make the cutest noises! They have the funniest personalities! I just love them to death! I was over the moon when they returned to us this year. Their names are Frank and Alice. I even have a kiddie pool with a ramp set up for them! And yes, I know they're the same ducks we had last year!

4/15/09

For the second year we have ducks that visit our yard every day. Last year it was only one pair, which we named Frank and Alice. This year we seem to be much more popular! Not only do we have Frank and Alice, but three other male ducks! They all seem to be very interested in Alice too! Frank won't hear of it though, and soundly chases them off if they get too close. These are the three other males. They must have heard about the high quality cracked corn buffet!

4/14/09

Here in the Northwest we have a term our meteorologists use that I didn't know didn't exist anywhere else. It's a "sunbreak". It's a term we hear a lot in this part of the country. I finally have a picture of what that looks like!

4/13/09

Today we went downtown to the World Trade Building to visit my aunt. I needed to borrow a pair of knitting needles. The boys LOVE riding the escalator there because it's so long and narrow. They all looked so cute holding on tight to the rail that they could hardly reach!

4/12/09

This year for Easter we decided that the whole family would match. It was actually pretty fun. The boys loved their new shirts and ties! They all looked so handsome! Even Eric in his fancy suit!

4/11/09

We had a wonderful weekned with nothing to do. We went out for some quick shopping and decided to make a day of it and ride the MAX out to the airport. While we were there we stopped at Red Robin for lunch then onto IKEA for some fun. It was a really nice time and the boys loved every bit of it!

4/10/09

This is what happens when you let little boys bring in the groceries! It turns into a tower building contest!

4/09/09

The rain is back in P-town! I love this pic of the nasty clouds rolling into the city! Shows what Portland is like most of the time!

4/08/09

We went to the shop on Wednesday and met my friend there. She got out her laptop for Ethan to play with. He sat there the whole time taking pictures of himself making funny faces! So cute!

4/07/09

On my walks down on the waterfront, I see a lot of people with cameras. I saw a man taking a pic of the drinking fountains once. I decided to try it myself. It's ok, but I'm gonna work on it a little more... I may need to break out the tripod!

4/06/09

We played hard all day on Monday. We got a lot of sun and not enough water. Ethan wasn't feeling well by the end of the day. He was waiting for his dinner on the blanket outside. Poor little guy!

4/05/09

Sunday was another sunny warm day. Our walk was wonderful! There are these bushes all along the east side esplenade on the Portland waterfront that have beautiful pink flowers all over them. I couldn't help but stop and snap one!

4/04/09

Saturday was beautiful here in the Portland area! It was our first chance to get out and do some yard work. This is a shot of my wonderful lace leaf maple tree budding. I really like this pic!

4/03/09

The third was our friend's birthday and since he was coming to game night I baked him his favorite kind of cake. German chocolate!

4/02/09

Dragon boat practice is going well for Eric. The kids seem to enjoy walking with me as well. Ethan always looks so small while riding his bike in front of me. All the regular bike commuters passing him by so fast. I know it won't last forever, so i snapped this one so I'll be able to remember how small he once was!

4/01/09

On the first day of April, I roasted two chickens for dinner. I took a picture of them cuz they looked really yummy! Eric said I needed to use it for my blog!
